Staff Management | SMX is immediately hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our premier manufacturing client in Westland, MI! This second shift position is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and advance your career.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / hour
Duties:
Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.

Position Requirements:
Handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse.
Tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, cycle counts.
Printing shipping labels and postage.
Schedule expedites.
Set up the Service orders.
Rail car BOL in CSX system.
Inventory of bad racks in the plant.
Inventory of material pending for reworks.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to lift at least 40 lbs. Pass Oral Drug Test and Background Check.
Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 40 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $19.25 - $19.25 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
